As a homeowner for nearly 50 years, and, coming from a family involved in construction and engineering, I have some qualms and concerns when needing to hire others to do work concerning the house. Too often, I have been disappointed. Not so with Tim Driscoll. From our first conversation to the present, with my project and “to do list” completed, I have only positives to say about Tim as a construction manager and as a person. He took my concerns and replaced them with total confidence that all was done thoroughly, keeping in mind building codes and my expectations. His communication skills are strong, clearly expressing information both verbally and in writing. His work ethic includes integrity, personal responsibility, thoroughness, eye for details, and always, putting in the time and effort. Tim Driscoll brings out the best in people!

I picked up my first hammer as a middle school student trying to earn some extra cash working with my best friend on his dad’s job sites. This became a regular occurrence on summer breaks and continued into high school and even college. What started as just picking up shingles, soon became foundation work, framing, finish carpentry and eventually everything else in between. I was intrigued by the construction process and picked up every tool I could get my hands on.

During my high school years I attended a vocational school for electrical, and then went on to Vermont Tech for an associates degree in architectural engineering and construction management. With a desire to continue learning and travel the world, and after being awarded a young professionals scholarship, I traveled to Germany. There I lived with a host family for a year and worked in the construction industry as a carpenter’s apprentice building prefabricated, multi-use office buildings. After returning home, I completed my Bachelor’s degree at  Roger Williams University with a major in construction management and double minor in business administration and the German language.

After college, I settled down in Massachusetts with my wife Ashley and spent years working with two of the most reputable commercial contractors in the country. I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry while managing projects for Northeastern University, Harvard University, Bose Audio, to even working on the largest Buddhist temple in the eastern hemisphere. I was beyond grateful for everything I learned at these companies, but missed the intimacy of working in the residential sphere, making a difference for families on each job. In 2016 I took a leap of faith and started a residential contracting company. After several years of completing successful projects, Ashley and I were longing to move somewhere warmer and raise our family near the coast. We settled in the topsail area and are looking forward to continuing to help families make their construction goals and dreams a reality.

On the weekends, you can find me out exploring all the up and coming spots in Surf City with Ashley, or at home wrestling with our three little boys

I’ve known Tim since we were kids, but we didn’t start dating until several years later when I was a sophomore in college. I was studying finance and accounting and Tim had graduated and started his first job with Turner Construction. Soon after graduating from Boston University, Tim and I bought our first home together, an 1830s run down Greek Revival that we enjoyed bringing back to life over the next seven years. During that time, I had worked in public accounting and later business consulting, only to find that my professional career was void of a few things- creativity, passion and a sense of fulfillment. Feeling inspired by Tim’s recent leap of faith to start his own business, I soon followed suit, quit my job, and opened my own dance studio, building a following from the ground up. During this time I learned the importance of customer service and building a business centered around families and the community.

Fast forward to 2022, things had gone extremely well for both of our businesses, despite the pandemic which hit the studio particularly hard, but we both were longing for warmer weather and a sense of streamlining our businesses and lives especially since we had started to grow our family (at the time two kids and counting). I had the opportunity to sell the studio, and we knew we could work together to build a construction business anywhere in the country, building off the solid foundation Tim had started in MA.

With my customer service experience and financial background, I am looking forward to working with Tim to create the best possible experience for families here in North Carolina. With three little boys of our own, we know life can get busy, and taking on a construction project can seem overwhelming. We want to make the process as stress-free as possible for our clients.
